American Band at TMEA 2026: Connecting With Texas Band Directors in San Antonio

February 11–14, 2026, brought band directors, educators, and industry partners from across the state to San Antonio for the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Convention, and American Band was proud to be part of it.

This year’s convention was an energizing few days filled with conversations, collaboration, and a shared love for music education. Our Account Executives Dan Finfrock (Ohio), Mike Rodden (Missouri), and Craig Byers (Louisiana) were on the ground meeting with band directors from all over Texas, learning about their programs, and talking through what the upcoming seasons have in store.

A Week Full of Meaningful Connections

One of the best parts of attending TMEA is the chance to connect face-to-face. Whether it was a long conversation about timelines for marching band uniforms, a quick question about colorguard equipment, or simply putting a name to a face, we were genuinely excited to meet so many directors who pour so much passion into their students and programs.

We also loved the opportunity to visit with fellow exhibitors, sharing ideas, catching up with longtime partners, and seeing what’s new across the marching arts and music education world. We enjoyed catching up with our partners and friends at Silent Command, Winter Guard International, The Breakdown Camp, DCI, and more throughout the event. TMEA always reminds us how strong and collaborative this community is, and we’re grateful to be a small part of it.

And of course, spending a week in San Antonio didn’t hurt. Between the energy of the convention, the incredible food, and the character of the city itself, it was a memorable backdrop for an already inspiring event. (Winner for favorite team dinner was Best Quality Daughter in the Pearl District!)

Here for You, During TMEA and Beyond

Whether we had the chance to connect at the convention or simply missed each other in the busy halls, we want band directors to know this: American Band is here to help you plan your next season, and every season after that.

From early planning conversations to delivery day and beyond, our goal is to be a dependable partner for your entire band program. We understand that no two programs are exactly alike, and that each season brings its own challenges, timelines, and priorities. That’s why we focus on offering solutions that support you at every stage of the year.

One Partner for Your Entire Band Program

American Band carries everything you need to support your students, from rehearsal to performance and everywhere in between.

Looking Ahead to the Next Season

TMEA always leaves us inspired and excited for what’s ahead. The conversations we had in San Antonio reaffirmed why we do what we do: to support educators and performers who work tirelessly to create meaningful experiences for their students.

If you’re already thinking about next fall, winter guard, or even the seasons beyond, we’d love to continue the conversation. Whether you need marching band uniforms, colorguard equipment, or guidance on how to plan for the year ahead, our team is ready to help.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello at TMEA 2026. We’re already looking forward to the next opportunity to connect, and to another great season of music, performance, and growth.
